Welcome to our old farmhouse. Over the past year I have learned so much history of this house and the people who lived here. Ninety six years of love, loss, hopes and dreams. Preservation continues and there is always a repair to be done. We are trying to be purest in our preservation as much as we possibly can. I hope you follow along and each week I will try to give you a little history of the house as well as the first owners of the house. I've been lucky enough to find a journal from a Granddaughter who talks about the house as well as her Grandparents. So come follow along and learn about this old house as well as the occupants, old and new.

First Fertilizer Fridy

This is my first time participating in Fertilizer Friday,
so I hope I'm doing this right!!!
Thanks Tootsie for hosting this event.
Now everyone be sure to stop by and see all the
beautiful plantings and great ideals waiting on you
I confess, I did no plantings from seed this year other than
a few herbs. We had a terrible winter just like everyone
else and it just doesn't want to let up. The last two nights
we have been under a frost and freeze warning. So most of
my flowers to this point are the ones I have saved year
after year, or plantings from the nursery.
This is my newest acquisition this week, I have decided
use allot of white in my garden this year!!
This is my day lily bed.
I made this flower bed shortly after we moved into
this house. The previous owner already had several
of the lily's planted in other parts of the yard,
so I started digging them up and transplanting them!
Carried each and every one of the stones to make the
bed toooo! I Am Woman Hear Me Roar!!!!! They are beautiful when they all start to bloom,
a sea of yellow!!!!!
These two little beauties I bought this spring, they were small starter plantings. I love the ivy and I am trying to get it to climb the little trellis I made (from a tripod), recycle, recycle. The other little grassy bush, well I have no ideal what it is, I just loved the texture (if anyone knows what it is please let me know). Well I hope I didn't bore you tooo much. I look forward to seeing all your beautiful plants and gardens. Bye For Now,
