Welcome

Welcome to our old farmhouse. Over the past year I have learned so much history of this house and the people who lived here. Ninety six years of love, loss, hopes and dreams. Preservation continues and there is always a repair to be done. We are trying to be purest in our preservation as much as we possibly can. I hope you follow along and each week I will try to give you a little history of the house as well as the first owners of the house. I've been lucky enough to find a journal from a Granddaughter who talks about the house as well as her Grandparents. So come follow along and learn about this old house as well as the occupants, old and new.

Old Things In A New Space

 Thanks for stopping by!
It's been quiet a bit of time since my last post, but I
been visiting everyone. Of course we made the move
and what a time it has been. Moving back to the south
after living in WV, quiet a change, even though I did
visit often. We still have not bought a house, but it was
blessing that we already had a rental and could move
everything here until we buy. Probably 50% of
everything is still in boxes, but remember I moved from
3400 square foot to 1400 square foot, but since we are now
empty Nester's we can live with a little less. With that said
you make the best of the situation, especially if you are
lucky enough to sell a house in this economy!
Well here is my contribution to Tabletop Tuesday, yes
that is brown paneled walls you see there, ( and carpet to
match). Everything on this chest is from our old house
just put together a little differently.
The lamps were yard sale finds a couple of years
age. They were an ugly green but with a little
black paint don't look all that bad. This is a small
dining area off the living room.
A $2.00 yard sale find last summer.

 Gotta unpack that wine!
A little light on the situation!

I'm linking up to A Stroll Thru Life tonight and I can't
wait to see everyone's creations. Hope you will visit
again soon and join me in exploring my new little
town in the low country of South Carolina. From time
you can go house hunting with me.
Hope everyone lets me know what they think, I love
 comments!
