I did an earlier post showing this little original bath. After moving in we slept in the front of the house and tried to use this bathroom daily. You can see how small it is, but I guess 100 years ago just having a bathroom was enough. The previous owners did a full renovation on this little bath, removing everything but the tub and the original bead board which they found behind the blue tile that was on the wall. I'm assuming there must have been a renovation in the 50's or 60's, judging from the blue tile. So after we moved the master bedroom and started using the larger bath connected to it, this became the guest bathroom. One thing I am determined to do this year is use what I have and so far I am doing a pretty good job. So when it came time to decorate this little room, I shopped the house for black and white. I figured why fight it, go with the bones, and to my surprise I like it!
I already had a black and white liner I bought last year at Target and all I did was make a curtain to go over it. I had a rather large piece of 100% cotton material and after a little sewing it was a perfect fit, even puddled on the floor, which I liked.
I added a few black towels to the white one, the black ones I used in our other house in a guest bath.
Another freebie. Grabbed a few other goodies from around the house. You can see the open shelves in here, I am way to messy to have open shelves in my bathroom, but this will work nicely in the guest bath.
Well I'm happy with it! I like the way it looks and I love the price tag, 0 dollars spent.
Now when guest are here I know, I always have a clean bathroom for them to use. When we used this room, one of us always ended going to the other bath because of the room issue. So both rooms were dirty.
Thanks for stopping in, hope you enjoyed this little tour.
See you soon,
Sandy

I like it all. And it's so nice to have a room that does not require demolition, huh? Really like the black and white colors, which kinda surprises me. I'm not a big fan of using black, but this looks really nice. Thanks for sharing, Vicki in Louisville, KY.
