Welcome

Welcome to our old farmhouse. Over the past year I have learned so much history of this house and the people who lived here. Ninety six years of love, loss, hopes and dreams. Preservation continues and there is always a repair to be done. We are trying to be purest in our preservation as much as we possibly can. I hope you follow along and each week I will try to give you a little history of the house as well as the first owners of the house. I've been lucky enough to find a journal from a Granddaughter who talks about the house as well as her Grandparents. So come follow along and learn about this old house as well as the occupants, old and new.

A Daunting Task

Thanks to Marty at
for hosting today's event!
I'm still working my Library/Music room, arranging
and rearranging the selves, a daunting task!
Here are a few goodies I found this week at
Hobby Lobby, 90% off, yes, yes!!
I'm not happy at all with the way this looks, seems if I don't have anything on the top of the bookshelves they look toooo sparse, and now it looks like clutter to me! So needless to say, this will be look much different next time you see it. No matter what your reading pleasure is you will be able to find it here!! The sea of yellow you are seeing are National Geographic from 1914 to about 1996. I tried to break them up to make it more visually pleasing. We have history, biographies, and good supply of romance novels!
So come on in, put your feet up and grab a
book and a glass of sweet and let me know
what you think! Have any suggestions?
Thanks for stopping by!!!!
Bye For Now

90% off? Great buys and they are pretty! You have a lot of books! My bookshelf has more accessories than books, lol....Christine

Would love to have some bookshelf space like that, but no room for it here. Maybe break your top decor down into vignettes instead of spread out. I am not one to help right now as I am trying to redo things around here and have come to a stand still.
I would never make it as an interior decorator! :-D
Hope you are having a great week.

Love all of your fabulous finds and the price is awesome. Wow, you did good. Your book cases are just wonderful. I sure am not one to help with rearranging. I shuffle it from one side to the other and then back again, lol. I think possibly try something a little bigger and with more visual weight on the top worked into a vignette. Just a thought. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Your photos are fabulous. Hugs, Marty
