Cloche Party

It's finally here, the "Cloche Party" over at

"A Stroll Thru Life".

Be sure to stop by Marty's and see all the

Well I have to tell, I'm working by the

seat of my pants again. I have fretted,

arranged, rearranged, took everything

apart and I'm still not happy with

anything I came up with, sooo.

When it's cold and when I'm stressed,

I bake. So everything tonight will relate

to food! I have such admiration for

each and everyone of you that

participate in the cloche party. Everything

you put together just looks soooo great.

I don't know if I will ever accomplish what

you girls do.

So here we go

Yelp, remember my silly cloches I made last

summer from wire trash baskets?

Here they are covering my fresh made buns

and the cream cheese to spread on them.

I set up a little brunch table with tea, my

rooster cloches, fresh butter, cream cheese

using a black and red color scheme.

Sorry for the bad pictures, I just couldn't get

the light right.

He's festive, see the wreath he is wearing?

My centerpiece is a table top tree I

decorated years ago for one of my garden

club Christmas parties. We were having a contest

and the rules were, we could only use

recycled items. So flying by the seat of my

pants one night after work, I grabbed

this three and started to decorate it

with my kids small toys. I tied them on

with raffia, and the bows are made from

a skirt that belonged to my older daughter.

I even got in my keepsake goodies box out and

got a couple of my baby things out.

FIRST PLACE!!!

One of the few times, let me say!!!

OK, this one was from yesterday, as most

of you know. This was part of my center

piece and it held gifts for my guest. The gifts were wrapped in silver paper

to coordinate with my tablescape.

How about desert, served in little cloches?

Apple green and red!!!!!This little beauty is filled with apples and

red ornaments from the Christmas tree.

Maybe the star of the buffet table??

So no matter what the occasion, a buffet

table set in reds and greens or....

or a sit down dinner....

desert for two, or.......

Bunch, just make it special and enjoy the

ones your with.

Let It Snow

It's Thursday and that means tablescape

time at Susan's. Be sure to stop by

Christmas tablescapes.

Now onto "Let It Snow".

I really couldn't decide what to do this week,

soooo this is what transpired!

As usual I didn't use the traditional center piece

with fresh beautiful flowers. So lets take a look

at the elements I used....

This is for you Marty!

My large cloche with a white

velvet ribbon tied around the top and a

small string of white beads wrapped around.

The table is dressed in silver, white and

crystal.

No candle, I used clear Christmas tree lights

under white sheer fabric .

There are gifts for my guest tucked into

the cloche.

A little Holiday decoration with more gifts

tucked inside, all wrapped in silver. A silver serving dish.

Silver salt and pepper shakers with a

antique silver carving set.

A peak at the gifts in the cloche.

A different twist for place cards.

I made these little white cones using white

card stock then covering them in lace, with

a lace hanger.

My daughter uses them on her pink

Christmas tree in her room.

Our place setting.

A martini glass for our custard.

Crystal for our salad, bread and main course.

A smaller white plate for appetizer if needed.

Two wine glasses, one silver and one is

crystal.

A silver charger

I have had this set of dishes for more than

twenty years.

Individual silver dressing servers, antique

salt dish with mother of pearl spoon.

Mismatched silver I have collected over the

years.

I used a solid white table cloth under my

white lace Christmas cloth.

A silver napkin ring with a white napkin.

The Decorating Has Started

I'm linking up to two great parties today,

Metamorphosis Monday at

I would like to say

"Thank You" to both of our

host for putting these events

together.

Well after taking a little break, I'm back and

going strong. The Christmas decorating has

started!

Remember seeing my front door dressed for

fall?

Now dressed for the Holidays!

I used two different types of pine and laurel

for the greenery, clear lights, silver ribbon

and ornaments.

Everything outside is decorated with only

clear lights, silvers and whites, using the

greenery as the backdrop.

The wreath is just grapevine with a huge

silver bow on it made from material I

found at Wal Mart several years ago.

At the end of the garland, I have a bed of

pine with a huge silver bow and packages

wrapped in silver wrapping paper and

and silver ribbon.

Large ornaments I found at the end of

Christmas last year at the Dollar Store for .50.

I painted them silver before putting them

away last year, so they were ready to go!

Silver ribbon also found on sale last year. The window boxes were also filled with pine and laurel, then boxes wrapped in silver placed inside each one. Once again I used silver ribbon. Sorry for the bad pictures, it was very hard to take them, it was either to bright or to dark. Arrangements in the lower windows. I used the fake spray on snow for a little drama. We have been really lucky this year only one day of snow just blowing around in the air, for the last two weeks we have had temps in the 50's and 60's. Great for Christmas decorating! Now remember my pond this fall??? All ready for Halloween.

Now ready to entertain at Christmas.
