All Boxed Up!!!!

It's time for Metamorphosis Monday at Susan's,

so be sure to drop by Between Naps On The Porch,

for jaw dropping ideals from Susan and all of

today's participants.

See this bunch of boxes?

Nothing really special to look at, they are still in their

card stock color, but they do have great little rope

handles on the side as well as a handle that goes across

the top of the box.

A great little detail on the side, with little rivets.

There are five, and that makes for a tall stack.

Then while rummaging through a drawer, I came up on

a bunch of these little knobs.

Then I rummaged a little more in my basement storage

room and found this.

So now lets see what we can come up with.....

A peak at the final results!!!! You can see the little white knobs I hot glued on the

bottom of each box. They were about 1/2 inch in height,

but added a little extra drama.

A close up, the finish turned out look like leather.

Not a good picture, the camera bad light or the

photographer, just couldn't get it right.

A closer look at the whole stack.

They have great dimensions, the smallest is 14 inches

in diameter and 8 1/2 deep and the largest in 19 inches

in diameter and 14 inches deep.

Now do you know how many dishes and tablescape

goodies you can get in these???

Celebrating Sunflowers

It's Thursday and Tablescape time.

Be sure to stop by Between Naps On The Porch

and visit Susan and all the other participants

in today's event.

Today we are eating downstairs and will be enjoying

lots of sunflowers.

Just a little peak at the table with the center piece.

I used a wicker basket then added pine cones to the

bottom to show through the flowers just to add a

little more fall color and texture.

A view of the table in candle light. I used gold candles in hurricane shades and some little clear glass candle holders. I used extra bread plates to set the candle and globe on to allow the tablescape to blend better.

Not a good picture, the lighting today would not

cooperate at all., no matter what I did.

I used gold place mats and gold flatware.

The bread plate and the cup are old diner dishware.

I'm using the cup for soup tonight.

This little gold bowl for salad.

I have had these plates for a long time, I think they may

have come from an estate sale

The napkin is just a gold and white dish towel.

These little glasses were also a estate sale find, I have

six. I paid like .50 each.

I have used two glasses today, this one also has a brown

tint, with wheat on the sides.

The mantle also got a little gold and sunflower action.

Today, I am joining Susan

at Between Naps On The Porch, for Metamorphosis

Monday, Cheri at, It's So Very Cheri for The Knock

Off Knock Out Party. Please make a stop at both of

these events to see all the great ideals that are

sure to be waiting on you. Bet you were wondering about my title!

My thoughts are, that when we accessorize our home it's

comparable to the jewelry and accessories wear with

our clothing. Or at least that's the story I give DH, when

he gets his, Honey To Do List.

Here is a picture, although not a good one of my

kitchen chandelier hanging. Plain ceiling,

nothing special.

This is where the matching light goes, but DH was taking

things apart and down so fast I didn't get a picture.

The fish were waiting!!!!!

Stay with me, this is were the Knock Off comes in.

Have you saw the medallions at Lowe's?

The one similar to this was $27.99 and was plastic.

This one came from Hobby Lobby, is metal and was

priced at $19.99, but was 50% off.

So since I have two ceiling fixtures in my kitchen, I

bought two of the medallions for less than one at Lowe's.

All DH did was remove the plastic white thing in the

middle, it was in place with a little silicone, then drilled

holes in the middle for the wires to go through.

Final result!!!

If you have seen any of my earlier post, you saw I put

a large one over my dinning room table. It was a

garage sale find for $3.00.

This was the little chandelier that hung in my daughters

bathroom. Like I said the fish were waiting on DH, and

he was moving.

Now if we were having a Today's Thrifty Treasure,

these next track lights would be thrifty for sure....

FREE!!!!!! A friend of mine had them, changed her mind about

putting them up, now Queen Bee has better lighting

in her bath room.

As you can see she has the jungle thing going on..
